What’s on

Apple Day is all about celebrating the apple harvest, and making use of the bounty of apples at this time of year. Usually, there is:

  • apple identification: find out all about it on the apple identification page
  • apple pressing: plenty of freshly pressed juice, with two apple presses in action all afternoon
  • apple tasting: in previous years, we have had some unusual and traditional varieties, donated by The Courts Garden, Holt, a National Trust garden near Bradford-on-Avon, and some strange Cornish ones
  • live music throughout the afternoon
  • hot food and snacks, cakes and more
  • games – apple bobbing, rolling, peeling and more
  • Biggest Apple Competition
  • stalls and information.
